Country Day provides the opportunity for all students to participate in athletics. We are committed to the development of the whole child and strive to build skill, 团队精神, self-信心 and a winning attitude in our student athletes. Most importantly, we dedicate ourselves to ensuring a positive experience for all who participate.
Country Day's athletic program provides every student in Grades 5 – 12 with the opportunity to participate on an athletic team. Country Day 体育运动 aims to allow all students to build self-信心 and 团队精神 while developing their potential as individuals and team members to the best of their abilities. Our "no-cut" policy allows students to participate in this athletic experience. We are proud that over 75 percent of our middle and upper school students participate in at least one sport.
Student participation and quality coaching are the foundation for the success of our athletic teams and program. Country Day has produced 68 state championship teams in ten different sports. Our coaches have been recognized as "the best" by their peers at the district, 区域, 在州一级. We have had four student-athletes receive the Gatorade Player of the Year Award for their respective sport, with two being recognized twice.
Several Country Day graduates that have recently or are currently participating in college athletic programs at Trinity University, 杜兰大学, 阿肯色大学, 雷德兰兹大学, 霍华德大学, 米尔萨普大学, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, St. 爱德华的大学, 里士满大学, 华盛顿和李, 迪金森大学, 以及蒙大拿大学.
